ISOTEC mould removal
Mould in your living space is no small matter, but can endanger your health. ISOTEC mould damage removal first analyses and deals with the cause for the microbial attack. Then the mould is removed professionally according to regulations, including those of the Federal Bureau for the Environment.
The individual steps of the ISOTEC mould removal process
The problem: mould damage
Mould arises for example if dampness collects on cold walls, or after water damage. Typically there will be black spots and a musty smell. Mould-affected plaster and wallpaper must be carefully removed.
ISOTEC system solution
1. Immediate action
To reduce the load of health-endangering mould spores in the room’s air and minimise unpleasant smells, before beginning removal work special air filtering machines are set up which are fitted with HEPA filters and activated carbon filters. This helps quickly protect the inhabitants. .
2. Sealing
The mould-contaminated area (black area) is sealed off from the non-contaminated area (white area) so that no dust can pass through. Access may be provided by a single-chamber airlock. To prevent mould spores from spreading into non-contaminated rooms, a vacuum device with a HEPA filter is installed in the restoration area.

- Rehabilitation of the mould adjoining rooms
3. Mould cleaning
Mould-affected wallpapers are removed, and any affected plaster is cut off and vacuumed away. The contaminated material is disposed of. The restoration area is disinfected using a solution of 80% isopropanol alcohol, which kills any remaining mycel. Only then can the masonry be insulated e.g. with ISOTEC climatisation panels, and the wall surface decorated.

Designation of black and white areas
Designation of black and white areas
Most mould spores are dangerous to your health. They spread in the air in a room and are then breathed in - which can lead to damage of the airways. Therefore, we must prevent any further spread of mould spores from affected “black” areas to non-affected “white” areas during restoration, by the use of special seals that prevent dust from passing through, and also airlocks.
